Fairlane Product bumpers are designed to guard, stop, align, and protect a machine or work piece. They are designed to integrate well into an industrial application or commercial end product. These industrial bumpers are available in “off-the-shelf” standard sizes and are also offered in special cut sizes to meet custom requirements. Fairlane Products maintains a large ready-to-ship inventory of bumper products, and they are an economical alternative in many applications to eliminate the need for custom-engineered molded components.

The round style are permanently bonded to a steel core and are available in male, female and plate-mounted styles. They range in diameters from 3/4 to 4in. and 32 to 57 mm. Female mounting styles come in either flush mount or hex stand-off while male versions are permanently bonded to a steel core with a variety of stud threads and lengths.

Rectangular and square bumpers are available with or without metal plate backing. Without plate backing offers the benefit of no rust, with plate backing provides greater rigidity. Both are available with C ’Bore holes for top-side mounting. The rectangular versions are available in lengths from 3/4 to 2 1/2 in. with lengths to 2 in. The square 1-7/8 in. and plate mount to 4 in.

Both square and rectangular bumpers are available in black neoprene, white nitrile and colored urethane in 60 and 80 durometers. The black neoprene bumpers are flame resistant, while also resisting gasoline, oil and high temperatures. The white nitrile is resistant to gasoline, oil, alcohol and abrasion. The urethane bumpers offer high abrasion resistance, strength and load bearing and provide high elongation hardness with a resistance to ozone and oxygen degradation.

Custom cut bumpers are available in various dimensions, shapes and sizes to meet specific needs. Custom bumpers have an 1/8 in. aluminum plate backing.

In addition to rectangular, square and round bumpers, Fairlane Products also designs and manufactures a wide range of workholding and positioning components, rollers, replaceable grippers, rest pads, Swivots®, covered bearings, quick releases ball lock pins, workholding grippers, TG GripSerts and GP-series gripper pads.

These center-through-coolant angle heads deliver coolant directly from the machine spindle to the cutting edge, without passing through the stop block, which improves cooling efficiency and chip removal. The new angle heads support coolant pressures up to 1,000 PSI.

Customers can choose between the Build-Up type angle head, which allows users to change the adapter for use in a variety of machining applications, or the HMC type angle head—a high-rigidity milling chuck. The Build-Up type angle head leverages AG35 high-pressure coolant adapters, including the New Baby Chuck and Side Lock adapter types.

BIG DAISHOWA’s angle head lineup allows shops to combine vertical and horizontal operations on one machine, and to access hard-to-reach features on a workpiece that would otherwise be impossible without multiple setups. This can reduce cycle times while also improving overall accuracy and eliminating the potential for error created by multiple setups.
