Aluminum Enclosures : Excellent Protection For Sensitive Components

Norstat now offers a full line of Aluminum Enclosures that are universal, sturdy and adapt easily to the installation of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic components.

The Aluminum Enclosures from Multi-Box are manufactured with aluminum die casting or gravity casting methods and after a chromate treatment are finished with a Polyester-based powder paint. Special testing has also been carried out to prove the durability of the enclosures, including a 1000 hour salt spray test. All enclosures are available in a variety of versions and sizes to accommodate almost every possible application for the industrial and electronic marketplace.

These Enclosures when used as terminal enclosures can also be assembled as a modular system with the addition of differing clamps and cable glands. Additionally, they can serve as junction boxes for cables and lines or be used for protecting highly sensitive electronics against water, dirt, and dust. A protection rating of IP 66 and IP 67 makes these enclosures suitable for applications where more aggressive or harsher conditions exist. PICO-02 : Pressure & Vacuum Sensor With Rotatable Display & Keypad

Norstat continues to develop their line-up of Vacuum and Pressure Sensor with the PICO-02, an adaptable Sensor that incorporates a rotatable display and keypad.

The PICO-02 from M-P Sensor is an adjustable pressure and vacuum sensor that has an integrated rotatable display and keypad. Using two completely independent and adjustable transistor switching outputs ( which can be loaded with 250 mA each ) the PICO-02 can control actuators directly or indirectly without the need of a control unit (i.e. a PLC). Because of its lightweight and compact design, the PICO-02 is ideal for applications such as vacuum lifting technology or valve control.

The PICO-02 is available in multiple measuring ranges and can measure filtered, dry or oiled air and non-corrosive gases. It is I/O Link compatible, has a rotatable digital display and utilizes LEDs to signal the unit’s status. Housing material is plastic with M8 and M12 ( 4 Pole ) electrical connections and it carries a protection rating of IP65.

Schweiss Doors manufactures hundreds of bifold doors for new luxury housing development in Dubai

A residential paradise is growing out of the desert in Dubai and Schweiss Doors is playing a major role in creating this new residential Eden. Nad Al Sheba Gardens, a new neighborhood from real estate developer Meraas, will provide luxury living in the fast-growing city of the United Arab Emirates.

Schweiss Doors was contracted by Dosteen Doors and Engineering Services to provide 228 liftstrap bifold doors for Nad Al Sheba Gardens. The bifolds will be used as garage doors for the new homes and vary in size ranging from 18 to nearly 25 feet wide and between 8 to 10 feet high.

Crews from Dosteen install the bifold doors and clad them in an aluminum ribbed paneling that coordinates with the community’s modern design.

This huge order of doors required coordination and communication between Dosteen and the team at Schweiss Doors over several months. The doors were split into two different orders and shop drawings for each door had to be created and approved, a process that took about a month for each order of doors. Once the drawings were approved by Dosteen, Schweiss could begin manufacturing the doors. Construction of the first 93 doors started in July 2024 and completed in March, just as the building of the second order of 135 doors began. All of the doors are planned to be completed by the end of summer.

On Aug. 4, representatives from Dosteen and Nad Al Sheba Gardens came to Schweiss Doors to get a first-hand look at the operation and check in on the progress of the second order of doors. The visit included a tour of the manufacturing facilities at Schweiss, as well as a meeting with company ownership and members of the sales and design team. The visit was a success and the second order of doors will soon begin the long trip to Dubai.

Dosteen set up the shipping for all the doors and it isn’t a short journey. It begins at Schweiss Doors in Hector, Minn., where the doors are loaded into shipping containers and delivered to a port on the East Coast of the United States. The containers are then loaded on to a shipping freighter and travel across the ocean to a port in Oman. The final leg of the journey gets the doors to Dubai and the busy construction site of the Nad Al Sheba Gardens. The first order of doors has already reached the site and installation is well underway.

The Gardens, when completed, will have both standalone villas and townhomes along with a long list of amenities including swimming pools, running trails, parks, retail space and a school. The development will be constructed over several phases, as units are sold, with home prices starting near $2 million. The most recent phase under construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

MEM+ Gas Mixer Series

At the show, the MEM+ gas mixer series will be on display, which is engineered to deliver precise mixing of two or three non-flammable gases such as nitrogen, carbon dioxide, or oxygen, serving a wide range of industrial applications. Electronically operated, motorized proportional valves enable adjustments in 0.1 percent increments, achieving the desired gas mixture in less than three seconds with accuracy better than ±1% absolute.

The MEM + series offers advanced connectivity through seven interface options, including Analog 4-20 mA, Ethernet, CanBus, OPC UA, Profinet, RS232, and Analog 0-10V, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems. Users benefit from both remote operation via PC, PLC, or machine controller and intuitive on-device operation through a touchscreen interface. Pressure equalization compensates for supply pressure fluctuations, supporting long-term stability and reliability. Continuous monitoring of inlet pressures and alarms for low-pressure situations add an extra layer of safety, while an integrated buffer tank manages fluctuating flow rates. The MEM+ series supports maximum inlet pressures of 20 bar and maximum outlet pressures of 10 bar, all housed in a splash-proof, brushed stainless steel enclosure for durability in demanding environments.

ULTRA Valves

The ULTRA valve portfolio will also be showcased at the show. The ULTRA non-return valves are designed for safety and reliability, protecting gas systems by preventing dangerous backflow. These valves feature extremely low opening pressures and exceptional tightness, making them ideal for sensitive gas installations. With minimal flow resistance and robust construction, they ensure safe and efficient operation even in challenging industrial settings.

The newly introduced ULTRAVENT safety relief valves set a new benchmark for precision and dependability in pressure control. This series is engineered for the precise regulation of both positive and negative pressure, controlling even the smallest pressure increases from as low as 5 mbar and delivering maximum safety in systems, containers, and production environments. The ULTRAVENT 6, compact and direct-acting with a spring-loaded design, opens automatically when the set pressure is exceeded and closes again after pressure equalization. As a mechanical solution, it offers advantages over more complex assemblies involving electronic components, resulting in a highly reliable and cost-effective option. The ULTRAVENT series is based on DIN EN ISO 4126-1, and valves are suitable for a wide range of applications including high-temperature environments, providing reproducible and accurate opening and closing performance in the millibar range.
